I hate Dark Sector

I was really looking forward to this game. I really was. I'm sorry to disparage the hard work of the very talented artists and animators who made this game LOOK beautiful, but it's really a bad game. The controls are sluggish and cumbersome. The level design is mundane and repetitive. Enemies are duplicated and sent at you in hordes - a wave of copy-and-pasted villains that only serve to elevate the player's blood pressure from outright rage.

Save points are another factor that lead to the unfortunate player wanting to bash their controller into rubble. I was held hostage for HOURS trying to get to a point in the game where I could comfortably save and get some sleep. Inevitably I gave up, hands shaking and heart thundering in my chest. Putting save points at a fair distance from one another shouldn't tax the team that made this game.

Dark Sector is a failure. It's drab, unoriginal, clunky, two-dimensional and outright hard in none of the ways a successful game should be. Keeping your character from getting shot because he's ducking when you meant to roll and rolling when you meant to duck equals I just waisted sixty bucks on a game that robbed me of hours of life that I'll never recover. I HATE Dark Sector. I HATE it.
